PEAK serves and stands with the Black community. We know that our most powerful and influential leaders, the difference makers that give us hope are Milwaukee’s young people of color. The continued oppression of people of color in America seeks to prevent their potential from being realized and greatness from being expressed, and it directly undermines our mission.
There is no room for tolerance of police brutality, there is no room for tolerance of the weaponization of Black and Brown skin, there is no room for the reckless and unjust loss of lives, there is no room for tolerance of the status quo.
PEAK is a youth leadership organization and we are working to mobilize and support our young people to safely and meaningfully engage in the work of equality. We are leveraging our position with stakeholders to empower better allies and stronger advocates. We will continue to provide person to person support and opportunities for joyful activity for young people and families in recovery from the trauma that surrounds our community and country.
